We are a new, innovative communications start-up is looking for a lead Web Developer. We are a new IP communications service that empowers consumers to create and personalize enhanced features for all of their communications services. We are looking a skilled developer utilizing Web 2.0 technologies to build the next generation of communications applications. The right developer will have a keen interest in emerging web technologies and the internal motivation and personality to handle the fast-paced, often changing, startup environment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work with engineering and marketing teams to create and enhance complex user interfaces from conception to production
* Design and implement complex personalization and control features and prototypes based on marketing requirements, while making the user experience simple and intuitive
* Create and oversee a project life cycle, schedule, maintain documentation, processes, and best practices.
* Assist in the early stage design and development of a suite of Web applications based on an AJAX/Java framework.
* Build new AJAX components within an existing framework.
Required Skills:
* Extensive experience with X/HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, XMLHttp, and DOM API
* A strong working knowledge developing cross-browser dynamic web applications
* Experience working in cross-platform environments such as Windows and Linux.
* Understanding of current the technologies and best practices that comprise a web project development cycle.
* Extremely strong customer centric focus
* Experience with online consumer service offerings a HUGE plus
* Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years or more of relevant experience designing, building, and maintaining Web sites.
Desirable Skills:
* Hands on experience with Model-View-Controller paradigm.
* Knowledge and experience with XML technologies.
* Sense of visual design/UI skills.
