A Manhattan-based venture-backed startup is seeking a superstar Java Developer to help create our new and innovative social networking website. If you love Java, work well with other people, quickly understand specification requirements and is dedicated to producing a high quality product then this is the opportunity for you! There will be no stopping your creative juices as you will own the designing and implementation of multiple application systems and programs. In addition you will be one of the founding members of a truly passionate team. Learning and innovation aren't only encouraged, they are required!
Responsibilities:
• Work with and learn from our Lead Engineer in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining application systems and programs for our interactive website
• Generate new ideas in our brainstorming sessions and backend design overviews to shape the future development of our online products
• Design and develop three new applications over the next year, utilizing Java web programming, including both server side (Java Servlets, JSPs, Struts, Hibernate) and client side (Javascript, AJAX)
• Develop and practice problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to meet our highest quality standards
Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Enjoys having fun, innovating, and working in a free thinking environment where one is potentially subjected to all forms of eclectic music
