Job Description For: Front end HTML, JavaScript JSP Java Developer
Essential Job Functions:
- DEVELOP WEB APPLICATIONS IN A NUMBER OF VARIOUS TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDING JAVA, JAVASCRIPT HTML, JSP, AJAX IN A APACHE TOMCAT UNIX/LINUX ENVIRONMENT to support common browsers ( IE Firefox Safari etc..)
- Work with non-technical users to understand requirements and to be able to quickly convert those requirements into working software components.
- Work with other software developers to develop more complex software products using the appropriate technologies.
- Where appropriate work with QA functions to determine test plans and test cases that are require to fully test the software before release
- Research existing tools and technologies that can be used to help answer requirements.
Experience
- Development of dynamic HTML JavaScript JSP and Java applications from scratch from high level requirements documents and design mock-ups.
- Development of Web based front ends of tools using HTML, JSP, PHP AJAX etc..
- Experience working closely with graphic designers and developers in a dynamic team environment, observing both detailed specifications and immediate word-of-mouth change requests.
- Working with non-technical users to develop and document requirements
Skills:
- Strong HTML, JavaScript, JSP and Java development skills - including AJAX functionality and associated frameworks
- Working understanding of Unix/Linux
- Ability to work independently on assignments
- Knowledge of Office and Visio etc..
- Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical users so that effective software products can be developed.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks in a team environment
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
** A plus would be working knowledge of Chinese or one of the major European languages (German, French, Italian).
